What's on today?

** Survivor Micronesia: Fans vs. Favorites Cast**

With the ongoing writer strike, most of the shows already ran out of new episodes. Desperate Housewives' last new episode was 2 weeks ago, Heroes done since early December.. It's either you'll watch re-runs or reality shows. And there's not even a lot of reality shows right now! I am patiently waiting for February to come, a couple of shows will premiere.. Survivor: Fans vs. Favorites, Big Brother 9 and Jericho are some shows that I am excited to see back on. It bores me to death knowing that Gossip Girl was moved to a new time slot and everything will be re-runs. They're doing kinda like a special called Gossip Girl: Revealed.. which basically just means that they will replay from episode 1 to the last one that they shot and then will insert interviews and commentaries from the cast.. Wow, big difference?! hehe

I just wish the writer's strike will soon be over. A lot has already been affected by it, not having the Golden Globes Awards was pretty weird, and watching the same shows over and over again for almost a month now is just pretty damn boring..

Save the Date

RockYou FXText

No..No I am not getting married! I am asking my friends and family to save this date since.. I AM COMING BACK HOME.. Again!! Woohoo!! I just cannot wait, although its just the usual 10 days vacation that I have from work. As how my sisters call it, napadaan lang uli ako. I was there last April for Joaquin's first birthday, the year before that I was there March for my grandma's burial. See the trend?? March, then April and now comes May.. At my work, it is so hard to really file for vacation, since we are a big department so filing for vacation is based on seniority, and guess what, I am eleventh on the list! My style always works though, super early on, I try to make parinig na with my co-workers that I will be going home that way they will ask me what month I wanted to go. They didn't have any problems with it since I always have pasalubong for them..

I really tried to get extra days off even without pay, which is also another pahirapan. I have asked for two favors (well I guess it was actually three!) : if I can leave on a Thursday, May 1 since I wanted to be in Manila by Saturday May 3 with time differences you basically feel like you lose a day; then I asked to have a couple of days w/o pay which in my mind is 5 days, but since auditors will be there on May 19, I can't take 5 days, although she did agree for 2 days. I guess that's ok rather than nothing! And apparently the "3rd" favor is I am leaving on the first of the month, which is basically a busy time for us. I have reports that I need to do every first of the month, so basically with me gone I have to train and probably "inconvenient" another person.

When I was waiting for the final approval of my vacation last Wednesday, I guess that's the longest 10 seconds of my life! Although some of them were already saying that I'm going to have it, still I am not sure till its final. One of my co-worker asked me what I'm gonna do if my boss would have said no.. And here's my answer: I'll probably just quit, I need to get my sanity back and see my family. I can afford to lose this one! Haha.. Taray di ba?!

Looking for eyeglasses

I can't see anything without my eyeglasses. Take it away from me and I am literally blins as it may seem. I have sets of contact lenses that I use for work, but I still prefer using eyeglasses at home. I found out these money saving Zenni Optical $8 Rx Glasses and I was so eager to check their sample products. You know me as a shopaholic, and yes I am always alert for great finds. Great Discovery: Zenni Optical has a lot of eyeglasses to choose from, depending on your budget and material preferences. I prefer simple ones though for home use. So if ou need to replace those old ones you are using now, check out, my this week's Best Thing Found: Zenni Optical , and be amazed with its products. The pic above is my personal choice.

Thoughts on the 7th day of rain

rain

I need to see the sun.. Please!!! It's been raining for roughly about seven days now. And I just can't stand it anymore!! Although its not something like thunderstorms or typhoons, this weather still pretty much bores me to the max! Its been so slow even at work since nobody really wanted to get out in freezing rain, so imagine how the whole week was like for me. I'm pretty much caught up with work, my reports are done before 10:00 AM. So basically I don't have anything to do after 10, except to answer the phone or just try to get busy helping out others, then I have to wait till around 5:30, worst 6pm on Fridays! This has been the longest week for me. Its actually pretty cool being paid without really working hard, but the thing is, I get bored if I'm not doing anything. I always drown myself to work, since before there's always something for me to do. You might ask why in the hell won't I just go out and SHOP? Nah, I really can't. I really have to start saving.. Hay... I am just so bored!

An occasional break yesterday afternoon was fine, and by break I mean like five hours where the sun showed up. It's still gonna rain, apparently for another three days I believe. What am I gonna do?? Tomorrow's Monday, just another day. But as the song goes: Rainy days and Mondays always get me down..

Need Cash?

I am currently faced with a lot of expenses, so shopping is not on my to-do list for this weekend. See, I am supporting a cousin to go to college, and this week is tuition fee week. Then I am also saving for my airfare and pocket money for going back home. Lastly, I am planning a summer getaway with my sisters and cousins. So yeah, I can't afford to spend a lot now. I only spend on major ones like the bills. If worse come to worse, I might get a Cash Loan by next month. I have seen this website that offers up to $1,500 as soon as you are approved. And you might wonder how easy it is to apply? Let me guide you becasue I already checked on the website. Everything is done online and securely, you just need to fill up the form and wait for your approval. No credit checking too and no faxing at this site unlike from other loan sites. Isn't it great? And within 24 hours, the money will be deposited in your account. You can also check for some available lenders in your ares thru Get Cash network. In most ares here in the US, they have a site specifically for your state. If you don't want to apply online, then you can just seek for a lender near you. I have tried exploring the website already, and it's so easy to browse, in just a few click, you are already aplying for a loan. By the way, you need to be at least 18 yrs old, working with a checking account to apply, so I guess I passed with all of those. One major thing I like from this site would be the repay date. If you don't have it on the next payday, they can re schdule that, but be sure to inform that you can't pay yet on that period. See how flexible it is?

I hope that I can really manage my finances this month. I still need to pay for our car insurance, and some bills here. I might also squeeze in a short list of shopping items or groceries for the week. But if I really ran short out of cash for next month, I am definite to apply for a loan nd let's see what will happen, These types of short term loans may hve a higher interest, but they are the fastest ones to get approved, and did i tell you that it;s hassle free?

Ready..Set..Shop

Ok I have to make this quick! The Bare Minerals special will be on QVC at 11:00 am today, like 15 minutes away.. I have to be ready.. for those BE addicts here's the Today's Special Value:

The Bare Minerals GLAMORISTA 9pc Grand Collection and Train Case!!

Still a bit pricey though: $ 99.60 plus S&H. My co-worker will definitely order this and then we will just split up the cost for whoever would want to buy a piece.

More on QVC.com!

online billiards

I rarely play any sport since then, and if there is one that I can play, that would be billiards. I usually play this with my cousins and friends back home. Out of nothing to do, I stumbled upon online billiard, and believe me, this is the best I've seen so far. The site is user friendly , and there's a lot of games to choose from. Online pool is also available, but i still need to get myself familiarized with the rules first. It's really taking my time during weekend, and I just enjoy playing. If i will get better with this, I can join at the site's billiard tournaments , who knows, i might win.

Heath Ledger, dead at 28

** Heath Ledger with Michelle Williams, they have a 2 yr old daughter named Matilda**

I don't know why I am even posting this, but I do believe that Heath Ledger is such a fine actor. Story of his death was shocking and how there are different versions that came out on the first minutes after the news broke out. My personal favorite films of him will be 10 Things I hate about You, Casanova, The Patriot and The Order. Of course most people will probably remember him from his portrayal in the film Brokeback Mountain. It felt so surreal watching the video of the NYPD carrying the black body bag outside his NY apartment. The news regarding how he was found dead at Mary Kate Olsen's apartment turns out to be untrue. No final news yet on what might be the cause of death. For more news just click this link.

What an untimely death for such a young, fine and talented actor.

Well.. Looky Here..

Look what I got last Saturday when I went out to do some shopping:

Of course I have to thank my dad for letting me use his credit card, but I am proud to say that I didn't spend a lot this weekend, hey I only spent a little over $ 80!! And I have to tell you, its a big step for me.. hehe.. I went to Marshall's just to check on some items, there's really not that much new stocks since most of them are for winter season. But when I saw this pair of RL sneakers.. Oh my gosh! I just know I have to get this. It's on clearance and the price tag is only: $ 10.00!!! Yup you read it right.. ONLY TEN DOLLARS!! I didn't even bother looking for what size it was, its the last pair, I just have to grab it! There goes the shopaholic in me!

I love Ralph Lauren, its my brand.. From purses to shoes to apparels, most of my stuff I can say. Its the brand that I find to be so classic and yet not that expensive. And so I pass on this addiction even to my nephews and nieces.

I know its way big for Joaquin, but I do have a lot of pamangkins, and I know that this will fit one of them. I just cannot pass up an opportunity of seeing a RL sneakers for just $ 10.00. Now, all I need to do, is find the right person that will fit in it.. And no Ate, Joaquin cannot have this.. Too big for him.. Sorry there's nothing on the toddler's shoe section that caught my eye! haha..

Cash Advance and Payday Loans

Shopping has really made me learn how to budget my money here. At most times, I would hit the mall with cash or with my cards, then when I get back home, I do some accounting of my money and balancing my checkbook. I feel so lucky that as of the moment I never ran out of cash, so does that mean i'm good with budgeting? But though I still have money after doing some of my shopping rounds at the mall, I always have a back up plan for those unexpected, emergency expenses. I already know where to avail of a payday loan just in case i might need one, whether for shopping, bills or just a night out with my officemates. I have seen the different type of cash advance available at the site already, and aside from the payday loans, they also have what they call women's payday. All are easy to avail and is done online securely. You have to submit your application, and ready your documents that they might need, ina ny case you just need to fax those at the number they will provide you. After a few minutes, you will receive a confirmation already if your loan is approved. Within over night, they will wire transfer the money at your bank account. On the other hand, the payment for your loan will be deducted on your bank account a few days after the next payday. See, I already know the whole process of application and payment. So if ever you will be needing some extra cash, apply for payday loans at trustsource.org and get relieved from your financial woes.

Soundtrip

It's 2:37 pm, Sunday.. I'm bored, there's really nothing to do. All TV programs are either sports, (of course NFL playoffs) or home tv shopping (which I totally don't need!) and then while switching channels I found a movie, great and I didn't like this one. I think the title's Pleasantville. For whatever reason this song got into my mind and began searching for it on the internet. I've been bit by 80's bug lately and started downloading songs. I was telling my sis' the other day how I cannot believe my friends at work haven't heard of FRA LIPPO LIPPI.. As I told my sis: Do I need more evidence as to how lame it is over here?! Hahaha..

I grew up listening to those since I have to older sisters and that later on I really loved their music. The very next day I had my officemates listened to it, and still they really don't know them. Then I got this song stuck in my had: Let me in.... but I don't know the next lines, and I can't seem to find just using google. I started searching at LimeWire, and when I saw the song artist: Mike Francis, yeap that's it!! Let Me in by Mike Francis!! Woohoo!! I've been downloading songs right now that I used to listened to when I was in Manila, and those that I also always sing at karaokes! haha.. Here's my download list:

Let Me In- Mike Francis
Im Missing You- Case
All my Love- Innervoices
Always Something there to Remind Me - i like this song, i always sing it in our videoke.. hehe

Thank god for google and limewire.. Cause I hate the feeling of having a song stuck in my head, and I can't remember it's title or even parts of it..

Hmmm.. Ano pa kayang maganda??

Late Response

Thanks MM for the tag! Though it took me forever to do this! I love it when somebody tagged me, I like answering questions, surveys, etc.. Anyways, better late than never!

1. Name one thing you do everyday - go online

2. Name two things you wish you could learn - drive and cut my own hair!

3. Name three things that remind you of your childhood - "teks", plastic balloon and scramble

4. Name four things you love to eat but rarely do - sisig, crispy pata, inihaw na pusit, chowking braised beef.. i only get to eat them if im back in manila.. hehe

5. Name five things that make you feel good - getting paid! haha, shopping for my family, mani-pedi in my fave spa, a refreshing bodyscrub, a new haircut..

Gearing up for a Long Weekend

thinking
It's going to be a long weekend since Monday is holiday which means...NO WORK!! Woohoo!! I'm not really planning on doing anything, I have to pay bills and send money so shopping is not really on the top of my to-do list. Might still hit the malls just to pass time, but my cards are still on my safe deposit box so what's the use! But then again I still do have my dad's card! hahaha!

So now I wonder, what am I gonna do this three-day weekend?? I haven't been feeling good the last couple of days but I still went to work, so right now I feel like being just a couch potato. Well whatever! I'll go ahead and have lunch and figure it out from there.

Yeah, Good Luck with that!

Better Care

For four years that I am living here in California, I have seen different types of people. Children, Matured teens, Parents and oldies. Most of then are a lot different from what I used to see back home. What touches my heart most are the elderly. We live near a care home , like a few steps away, and my dad works there. I have heard a lot of stories about the old ones there. Though I haven't seen the interiors of a home care institution, I alreadyhave an idea in mind of how their surrounding looks like. It's really like a second home after seeing some pics. Each patient has his own personal program, specifically designed for his needs. There's actually a lot of care options to choose from. You will also be provided with tips from the experts on how to take care of your loved one. You may also have a schedule to visit them if you want. Activites for the adults are also designed and executed for them for social interaction. So , in the future that you will be needing a home for your loved ones, check out bettercaring and experience their wonderful care for your family.

WTF

Aahhhh!! I just wanted to scream!! When my dad came to pick me up at work, he told me to seat on the back of the car. Walking towards the car I didn't know why but when I actually saw it.. WTF! Basag ang salamin sa harap ng kotse namin!! My dad drove it all the way, it was weird kasi hindi pa nag-carsh yun buong salamin, parang may malaking lamat lang sya, although may part na may butas na.. Gosh, I don't know what to say. He said it happened just around the corner from our apartment but he wasn't sure if somebody threw something since he really didn't see anyone. He was telling me how there are times na pumuputok daw minsan yun salamin, I thought kapag sobrang init lang yun which is totally not the case , but I really don't know. Even though I am pretty upset seeing it, I'm just thankful that he was safe, buti na nga lang hndi malakas yn impact. Kung may bumato man, buti na lang at hindi yun side ng daddy ko. Good thing na hindi pumasok yun bubog sa loob ng car, tinanggal na lang nya yn mga bubog nun pagsundo nya sa kin. The whole window on the passenger side was just completely shattered. I am just so mad right now! I have learned how to not react on stuff that happens around here, manhid na nga ko e. This is not the first time that this happened to us, the first was just the small window on the back seat. I hate it.. I hate it.. I hate it.. Were not exactly living in a high class neighborhood around here, I mean I batang tundo na nga ko pero I feel much safer there than in here. I just totally hate it! I don't think this is worth it.. I really don't think so.

Get to Know Me

You've Been Bit By the Shopping Bug!

You're constantly adding to your wardrobe - and it shows
However, you can show some restraint. You love good deals.
Your love of the clearance rack has paid off...
You probably have only maxed out card or two, if at all!

You're Part Diva

You know that a girl's gotta work it to get her way in the world.
And while you aren't about to throw a tantrum at every turn...
You do amp up the drama when you know you need it.
You mix charm, honesty, and kindness to get ahead.

Your Makeup Look Is

Pale Lips with Big Eyes
A little classic, a little retro - you look fantastic in this high fashion look.

You Are a Normal Girl

You are 60% Good and 40% Bad
Sure you've pulled some bad girl stunts in your past.
But these days, you're (mostly) a good girl.

Thoughts on a Boring Sunday Morning

bored

Every Monday, I can't wait for the week to be over. But when weekend comes around I find myself thinking, what do I even look forward to? For whatever reason, I am irritated lately at work, I don't even want to think that it might mean that I am not happy in my job anymore. I never really liked it but the benefits and the pay and of course SOME of the people I work with, keeps my sanity intact. Weekends of course only means one thing: SHOPPING! but since I started saving for my trip in May, I just can't afford to shop a lot. And my philosophy when it comes to this is " If I can't shop a lot, I'd rather strap myself at home and not shop at all because buying just one item is such a waste of time, gas, and effort!" So if I won't be bringing home at least two shopping bags, I just won't go out at all.

So with shopping already X'd out of my list, what's left for me to do? Let's see... ummm.. ahhh.. hmmm.. thinking.. still thinking... ok I got it! NOTHING! there's nothing to do. Well except the usual I can clean my room, go over my mails, shred stuff I don't need, clean my make-up brushes.. Do I really want to do that? Then of course there's TV, my one and only best friend out here, but then on Sunday Mornings this is what's on: sports, sports, more sports.. presidential debates (not interested at all), home TV shopping (not gonna help me at all!) so then again: NOTHING. We do have cable TV and TFC, but its on another TV and not mine.

I wonder, how am I gonna spend this day. I already did spend my Saturday sleeping so I'll probably do something else. I'll check on my movies, I'll probably just watch one or two of them for the Nth time!

So ME...

Your Fashion Style is Classic

You like what's stood the test of time...
Simple, well styled clothes that don't scream trendy
You stay updated and modern, but your clothes stay in style for a while
You wouldn't be caught in animal prints, fake fur, or super bright colors

Wow I guess I am classic.. I just always opted for outfits that are simple and elegant.. CLASSIC in short.. Hehe.. I might once in a while buy the latest in fashion but my closet is filled with just the usual shirts and jeans.. My usual get-up will just be bermuda shorts, a shirt with either a pair of havaianas or comfy flats.. And yeah, not a big fan of animal prints!

Online Store

Since I am addicted to shopping for just about everything, my sister and I are planning to set up our own online store. This way, we will be earning a little more for our own shopping or for our own budget concerns. We are starting from scratch since this would be the first time we are venturing into this. We are still in the researching stage on the technical side of the online store. A friend of mine tole me that it is best to have the latest in ecommerce software. Our site would be easier to access having this, so the customers won't have a hard time placing and processing their orders. I searched for it and I was able to see Ashop. They currently a 10 day free trial fo this software, and I am keen on getting that. After the trial, we might purchase it for our online store. It is web based and no installation is required so imagine how easy could that be. We can also customise our website according to our theme and I find that really exciting. We don't have yet a specific theme and over all look of the site, and I would still need to discuss that with my sister. Ashop's customer service and technical team is available 24/7 so if problem arises, it is so easy for me to get in tougch with them. Do wish us luck in our newest business. I do hope we will have great sales and earn a lot from this newest baby of ours.

a lot to do

Im squeezing in a few opps for now. Im nearing deadlines already, talk about cramming. I will be back with posts. Still raining here, so yeah, it's just work and home for now, no shopping for me . LOL Ba back !

Worst Dressed 2007

AHHHH!! I am so angry right now! Apparently Mr. Blackwell, a well known fashion critic since the 1960's has released his 48th Annual Worst-Dressed List.. What makes me upset? It was because VICTORIA BECKHAM ranked FIRST!! You have got to be kidding me! I was teased by my co-workers the whole day because they know how much I adore Posh. She came in here and totally introduced a very fashionable hairstyle, that never happened since the Jennifer Aniston's hairstyle at Friends. I really just don't get it! It REALLY PUT me in a bad mood. i was joking with my friends that this will lead me to a major depression! Yes, not every outfit she wore will be the best, but for here to out of nowhere be on top of the list?! Well I still love Beckham! Just click on the link to read what he has to say regarding Posh's fashion and the other nine thet made the list.

Essay writing

I would still remember on how I would spend sleepless night a few years ago because I would need to finish piles or essays and research papers. But look how everything changed now. Did you know that you can buy essays online? They offer a variety of topics to choose from so you won't have a hard time searching for one. They can even do some academic essay writing. Most importantly, Thesis Writing is also offered. I should have known this site 3 years ago so I didn't have to stay late writing my own.

Personal Loans

Working on a bank for a few years now and taking up Accountancy in college really made me knowledgeable with loans. Fortunately, I am not into any loan for now. I have been doing good with my finnces, that somehow my income can still support my lifestyle. But if worse comes to worse and I'll be needing money, I won't be having hesitations in applying a Personal Loan. People might think that it is a hassle to do it online, but seeing the website of Personal Loans, I can say that it's such an easyt thing to do. An unsecured personal loan can really help you in augmenting with expenses, especially on emergency situations or just when the need arises. Most of the time, a loan can start at $1,500, but they alos do offer figures lower than that. The process is easy, you just need to fill up a few items on their website, then submit it online to have your loan processed. In a little to no time, you will get your approval. It's a less worry especially in moments of financial needs. If in the future you plan on getting a loan, visit www.americaoneunsecured.com , they surely have something that fits your needs, whether for personal or business use.

online casino

Since it was raining last weekend, I was literally locked inside our room and I spent the day being with my laptop and playing online casino. I never thought I would really enjoy playing games, because I've only been inside a casino once when I was at Las Vegas. One should really try to play vegas casino, it's one of the best and really exciting. I do wish I can hve more time playing casino games, especially after a stressful day at work. I need to relax once in a while.

Mission (partially) Complete..

So as planned I did went to the mall today and I actually was able to complete well just partially some of my mission. Yup, I did a little shopping at Victoria's Secret, went to Target but not able to have the pictures printed, major food trip: bacon 3 cheese steak sub, bacon and cheese fries and cinnamon pretzel bites! Wow talk about calories! And I did used my Dillard's gift card but of course not for me but for Joaquin.. Here's some of the stuff I got:
I got two body scrub, a foot scrub, 2 body mists and these cute SuperModel tag necklaces. Most of them were either half off or 75 % off. I should have bought more of the necklace, but I didn't know at first how long was it till I opened one when I got home.
I didn't buy the Eight Hour Cream that I wanted since the "auntie" mode in me kicked in once again when I was in Dillard's. I decided to check out the boys section just in case they have something on sale.. And Behold... I found a rack which says CLEARANCE and from a far I can already spot the RL polos. As usual as I got so excited shopping for Joaquin that I can't remember what size I should buy for him. So I bought 3 Ralph Lauren polo shirts with sizes of 2t,3t and 4t! Then I used my gift card and just paid for the difference. So sis, you owe me! Hehe.

My sister saw this online just this morning and I know she wanted to buy one for Joaquin so when I checked out the Target store here, I'm so glad they have one. Its Disney's Cars which is cute for casual get-up. I just hope it will fit him since again, I don't know what size to buy.. So are you wondering just as I am?? What did I get for myself??!! The only thing I bought for me is a pair of knee-high nylons since I don't want to wash the ones I have for work tomorrow. But still I'm happy that I get to shop and it didn't rain! One of these days, I will do some "ME" shopping..

Rain, Rain Go Away

Rainy Day

It's day three, not really as bad as Friday but there are still some occasional rain showers. Please make it stop!! I need to get out of the house! Well, you know where I need to go, I really just wanted to go the mall, take a stroll and do some window shopping. I am so bored right now here at home that I just wanted to go out. I guess it will be fine, forecast didn't say anything about thunderstorms or gusty wind. I'm just making sure since I don't want to get sick, not now!

So here's a couple of reasons why I'm hoping the rain will stop:

1. Its the VICTORIA'S SECRET SEMI ANNUAL SALE! Duh?! One major reason right? I cannot believe that I am going to miss it and then will have to wait until June for the next one. They really have great deals even with their lotions and beauty products, that's why I wanted to go. It already started last Thursday, so I don't know if there will still be some good deals left for me.. Huhuhu. Poor me.

2. I have a gift card from my uncle not really that much but I just would like to use it. It's a $20 giftcard from Dillard's and I already have something in mind that I wanted to buy. I've been reading Victoria Beckham's book, and she always mentions Elizabeth Arden Eight-Hour Cream as one of her favorite products. Hey, if she says so, definitely worth the try! Its only around $ 17 I believe so I want to try it.

3. Pictures from my family's holiday "madness" are already piling up on my laptop and my mom's bugging me to have them printed. So I am planning to go to Target to have them print since I don't have a printer at home. Its also nice to just look around at Target, since I cannot believe on how they already have swim wears out when its still stormy and freezing in here!

4. I wanted to eat! I miss my pretzel bites from Pretzel Time at Mrs. Fields, since I always get one every weekend. plus I also have a gift card from Starbucks so might as well grab some cafe mocha.

I hope the rain will stop.. Even just for three hours so that I can shop!

Working in a Stormy Friday

It was all over the news that there will be a storm to hit Northern California yesterday. So of course being from Manila, I immediately shoved the thought that it will be so powerful and worst as how the news predicts it to be. I figured, its just the media hype trying to make a big deal of it. I mean the bagyos we have in the Philippines are really strong, lumilipad na nga ang bubong hindi pa din signal number 1! But I guess I was so wrong!

Friday Morning.. I get up at 6:00 am to get ready for work, and the wind was really blowing hard that I thought it will break our windows. One of our neighbors car was hit by a plywood that was blown off, he was so frustrated upon seeing it. I was so bundled up, I am wearing a turtleneck top, with a pink warm sweater, and then I still have my raincoat complete with a hood! Too bad I have to work, and what's worse was one of my officemates called in that day, so I have to fill in for him. Here's what he do: Every hour he has to get the deposits and other works from each of the tellers, get the outgoing and inter branch mails, then he walks across the street to the other building to bring over the works. That's what we call a "run". So I was there basically thinking to myself "how in the hell am I supposed to do this?" I'll get knocked over by the wind. According to the news it was blowing 50-60 miles per hour. One of my co-workers, got knocked up and fell on the bushes by our parking lot on the way to work. And she is probably five foot nine! Sa liit ko, feeling ko e kayang-kaya ko tangayin ng hangin! Too bad, a job is a job! There are some procedures that only me and my friend Lily could do, and means we have to get out in freezing rain! I had one of the tellers do the first run and when he came back, the umbrella was totally destroyed! He came back soaking wet since the wind basically broke the umbrella he was using, and mind you he was the biggest and tallest guy we have.

It was such a mess, for a short while our front parking was a bit flooded and I have to brave the storm and did the rest of the runs. I had one bad experience with the wind that I even thought it will knocked me out or will blew me away! I totally hate my co-worker for not showing up to work! The news and the pictures they have on tv were really surprising, trees were uprooted, trailer trucks on the freeway were knocked over.

So at the end of the day I was telling myself, all these I have to do just to earn a dollar! See, hindi pinupulot ang pera dito, pinaghihirapan din! Hehehe! Even if it means, you'll be soaking wet and getting beat up by a 60 mile per hour wind, you have to do your job! Its still raining right now, I think we'll catch a break on Monday but another storm will probably hit again on Wednesday.. Oh gosh, just please send me back home!! =)

engagement rings

I am always fascinated with engagement rings. It is really a sight to behold in every girls hand. Sometimes, I can't help but wonder onh ow my ring would like like. It doesn't need to be filled with much diamonds, one would do. I have seen this site thath as a lot of beautifullycrafted rings, and I do wish I can wear one of their diamond engagement rings in the future. I shouldn't be thinking about the ring, I guess. I better look for my man, what do you think?

Welcome 2008

So again for the "Nth" time I get to spend New Year's Eve in the same boring way I've been spending it for the last years. Boring because its NOTHING, as in zip, nada, zero, compared to how I spent New Year back in Manila.. Besides its freezing cold, so I am pretty much bundled up with layers of clothes, gloves and socks, while I'm just here inside our house. Funny how it was completely different since my cousin in Manila was in shorts! So this year I decided to at least give it a shot do something fun.

My friend at work gave me three small bottles of vodka and one tequila. So before leaving work I got a 7up since I know I am not prepared to get drunk on New Year's Eve so I don't have anything at home to go with my alcohols. Sunday, I went to Target to buy some dvds since that's really my plan.. To bleed my eyes from watching movies all day and night. I got four dvds: three comedies: Knocked Up, Old School and Evan Almighty; and a classic: Breakfast at Tiffany's.

I started my first bottle at around 8pm while watching Knocked Up. I was so surprised on how I was able to finish it in less than an hour. Pretty boring if you're drinking by yourself, made me look like I am an alcoholic or something!! To cut it short, yup I got drunk.. Way before the clock hits 12 am! I cannot believe it! I wasn't up to welcome the New Year! Good thing my aunt called us and I woke up because of it. But I still cannot even stand at least I have my eyes open. And close it again in less than a minute..

What a bummer! I have always welcomed every new year sober, maybe got a few drinks but not asleep. I guess there's always a first time.. And that's how I welcome the new year..
