In a few days, we will be celebrating Christmas. Its my most awaited time of the year, so as my kids. I am done with shopping for gifts, the last one was an online order for a spyderco military . I will receive it tomorrow and I will just have it wrapped then I am good to go. We are distributing the gifts a little early this year because we will go somewhere from the 24h to 26th. Its an off from our usual busy life and we are celebrating it as a family. So what are your plans for the Holidays?

Weddings in December

Aside from June, December is also considered as a peak month when it comes to weddings.Two weddings are lined up for me this month and I will certainly go to both occasions. First is for a really good friend and godmother of my daughter and the other is for my cousin in law. I'm excited to see bridal gowns again, it reminds me of my own wedding. Now I am thinking of what to wear since I don't have much formal wear now. I might check out my favorite store and see if they have something that would fit me perfectly. Aside from that i am thinking of what to give the couples too. Gift card is a great idea, what do you think?

Christmas is just around the corner and we already started feasting with great food!

We had a seafood grilling buffet yesterday with the friends of my sister. Today we had modern local cuisine for lunch in one of our favorite restaurants. I am thankful that there's an effective way to lose weight in no time, yes, I am talking about weight loss drinks that my friend gave me. I tried it out the other day and the taste isn't that bad at all. Whenever I would eat a lot each day, I will just drink this weight loss drink at night and hopefully it can really do wonders for me who loves to eat her heart out during celebrations.

I can't believe that my friend is now conscious with his body. He started going to the gym last year and he regularly visits for his chosen program. He is into body building and building those curvy muscles. I honestly did not recognize him when I saw him last week. I was looking for some anti acne products because of the md clear reviews I have read last week, but I wasn't luck enough to find one on sale. Instead, we headed to the toys area and my husband got this Step-2 Easel board for the kids. If only its not that bulky, we would have gotten two as a for a friend. I have seen a lot of electronics sale, but we don't need a new TV or dvd player so we didn't went to that area. It was crowded as expected but I've heard that the deals are really great! I'm happy though with what I got for the kids. In the next year, maybe we can try lining up outside the stores prior to opening hours so we can experience the fun of Black Friday sale.

Happy Thanksgiving

I know that my greeting is late, but I guess it's okay as long as I remember greeting you all. We had a great Thanksgiving weekend with my family. We even invited some of our relatives so we can have a mini - reunion too. The next day was Black Friday, you know what it means!! Shopping! I didn't lined up that early just like most of our neighbors, we went to the mall at 6am and grabbed a few toys for the kids. Some items at the beauty section was on sale too, so I got my mom a wrinkle remover , lipstick and some eyeshadow and blush on for me. Didn't go really major this year, I don't have that big budget at all. I will just wait for the After christmas sale, hopefully I can score great items too.

Goodbye Acne

I love the weekend because it means I have all the time to go to the mall and go over the new products int he beauty section. In a simple day, I will go to the mall only if I really need something. Usually, it is just a quick trip since I have no time at all and I have to rush home and be with the kids. Last week...

Laptop warranty

I should have gotten an extended laptop warranty . My current laptop got busted and I need to have it repaired as soon as possible because most of my work files are there. I have this feeling that I can still recover everything , I just feel the hassle of using others laptop since my files aren't there. Oh well, i learned my lesson the hard way. It's not covered by the warranty already and that makes me feel sad even more. My husband suggested that I get a new unit and just trade in the one I had before. I might just follow his suggestion.

Rain boots!

It's almost November and our place is still being affected by typhoons. Aside from the fact that when there's a typhoon it easily floods, I'm afraid that health issues also come up during this season. There are many diseases in flood and during this really cold weather so we better gear up and be prepared. The rain jackets of the kids and sweaters are in their bags whenever we go out. I even got ourselves some rain boots to protect our feet from the flood as it may cause leptospirosis. How about you, how do you keep your family safe and dry this rainy season?

Remember always be safe and as much as possible, just stay at home when it's raining. If you can't help but go out, then gear up and wear jacket and rain boots.

This buffet dinner at Yakimix is a treat for ourselves and for our families too. It was a super busy September- October for all of us and we thought of giving ourselves a break from all the work. We all love our food, there's a lot to choose form especially seafoods ! I am not really a big fan of Japanese so I just feasted with all the smokeless grilling. My little boy also cooked hotdogs over there. We were so stuffed after because we didn't let the sweets / desserts section to wait for us. I feasted with the chocolate ice cream with mallows and some cakes. its a good thing I read something about how to burn belly fat, I am not afraid to have a bulging tummy at all.

i need a new laptop

Work has come my way lately that I wasn't able to blog that much. Its quite hard having a limited time at the computer since I share it with my sister now. I better look at some laptops on sale now. My old one is busted already and I don't think it can still be fixed. My husband suggested that I get a mini laptop instead since I am always on the go. I spend mornings with my son at school so the mini laptop is perfect. I dont have to carry a heavy one at all. I was so disappointed with our current kitchen faucet because it got broken after just 3 years of using it. So this time, I learned my lesson and I would like to invest with quality faucets for our home. Im starting out with our kitchen since it badly needs replacement by now. The brands that I am considering are Kohler, Moen and Hansgrohe. Though I have to be a little practical and see what would fit our budget. Broken!

Im just so glad that I availed of a laptop warranty when I bought my laptop a few years ago. I would be incurring big expenses now if itdoesn't have warranty. You see, I was still using it the other day when all of a sudden, it just stopped working and the power turned off ! I was really in panic because all of my files for work are save there. Good thing I remembered that I have a backup file at mh EHD. Thank heavens for back ups! This morning I went to the store and had it checked. They told me it might take a few days or weeks for repair , they will give me an update by monday. Everything is still covered by the warranty so no worries with the expenses. My ultimate worry would just be some of my files not saved. oh well, lesson learned.

I am getting hooked with creating my own accessories now. It is actually my sister who influenced me with this and she really has a great personal collection! She gave me some of her materials wo helpme start up,but still I want to have my own jewelry making tools someday. I am just trying to save up some extra income so I can start creating mystuff again. Getting fat

This is really one of my biggest problems now. With all the food experience that we have now, the least that I want to be is get fat. I easily gain weight because of my metabolism, so I try to do some exercise when that happens. My tummy easily gets those unwanted fats so I need to find ways in burning belly fat .Some say that belly dancing can be one great exercise and it is now offered in some fitness centers as an alternative way of getting rid of those bellies. But I am no dancer so I have to pass on that one. Sit ups maybe helpful to me and I am considering that since it will help out my abs too. Well, wish me all the luck!

costume hunt

Yes, as early as now , I am already looking for kids halloween costumes. My nephew and niece here are so adorable, that I already look forward todressing them up with their favorite characters. Most of the costumes now are still on sale since it is off season, prices are unbelievable. My nephew wants to be a Tiger, his favorite animal, while for my niece, I am thinking of getting her a Kai-Lan costume from the hit series at Nick Jr. The possibilities are endless, especially when you have a little girl who loves dressing up. Such a scary sight! My belly fat that is ! I am not posting any pictures of course. I saw the shocking truth when I was trying out a fitted dress last week. My belly fat is too obvious , I think I need to do some sit ups to one down those tummy muscles. Can you suggest other activities to get rid belly fat ? I am so pressured now because we are hitting the beach next month so I want to have a better tummy by then . Me and the kids had so much fun decorating some cupcakes last week. We went to the mall to celebrate my sister's birthday. We had this activity during our snack time at around 4pm. The kids and I enjoyed this activity! I enjoyed playing with colors and sprinkles.

After this we went to some stores and tried out some clothes. Gawd! I gained weight again ! Can someone recommend to me some diet pills that work ? True enough, i had dry skin all because of the weather. Now I am using a moisturizer too. It pays to take care of our skin !

3rd death anniversary

We will be celebrating the 3^rd Death anniversary of my father in law this June, and we are planning to have a small reunion at their house. Time sure flies very fast; as I look back 3 years ago His very first grandson is only a year old. My father in law is very much fond of his grandson and even though he is already on his deathbed, can’t speak, can’t move since his lungs already collapsed the night before and is given a 24-48 hrs to live…I felt & saw that the last person he wants to see was his 1^st grandson and after that meeting he peacefully passed away. My husband shouldered the funeral costs and the other cost were handled by my mother & sister in law.

We visit my father in law whenever we have time once a month and we also offer our prayers for the eternal repose of his soul.

crazy day with the kids

This is one tiring yet fun-filled day with the kids. No, we did not went out or something. We actually stayed here at home the whole day playing and dancing. I had a great time looking at them enjoying Korean Music. But of course, small fights would still be there, I acted as a referee. They tend to be really out of control sometimes so I better prepare myself on how to prevent hair loss .
But overall , it was a great day for all of us. We had pizza for our afternoon snacks and grilled cheese for later! We all love to eat actually!

Now i am thinking on what we will do tomorrow. I am running out of activities. Maybe we should try art, what do you think?

Its daddy's birthday !

May is a very important month for our family. It is my sister's and my dad's birth month! Though I am not with my dad now , just like the previous years, I would still want to give him a little something for his day. He is such a very simple man with a little or no luxuries at all. Whenever I would ask him what he likes, he would settle for simple shirts. But my dad is such big man, so here i am looking for big and tall clothing apparel that would best suit him. It is spring time already so T shirts would be the best option. The question is where to buy?

I am thinking what colors to give him, he is usually wearing light colored ones so I better stick with it. He is very particular with the quality too, he values that with the price that comes along. Off to some t-shirt hunting!

Manila Heat

This is insane! I can't really explain how humid it is here! If only we can stay in a full blast air conditioned room all day ! The kids are sweating non stop so we make them drink more water than the usual. I guess this heat helps me to lose weight huh?! I sweat a lot without those exercise haha, Does it count ?

Business cards

Hello Monday!

I still feel tired days after our trip. I am slowly going back to my normal routine here around the house. Laundry needs to be get done within the afternoon. One week of load is too much for me! I have to finish un packing too, lots of shopping during our trip, now I don't know know how to pack away everything. Such a busy day! I still need to look for business card printing site so I can order it online. Husband needs a new set for his work, and I overlooked this task even before our vacation. i wonder how can I do everything today, might as well start now and go offline for a while

What to do?

Now that my resources are running low, I really need to get myself a new job so I can finance for myself. Summer activities are piling up and I certainly want to enjoy this great vacation time with family and friends. My writing job is not that sufficient so I am thinking of looking through those careers online. Maybe there are jobs that would only run for like 3 months, maybe an assistant, or a data entry worker.

I am making the most out of my time here, in a few months I will be back to CA and will live a corporate life again. The only good side of it is i'll be with my parents again and who knows, maybe work at the bank. I miss a lot of things in CA, but I am still so happy with my vacation here.

almost 5 months

Yes, I will soon be 5 months here in Manila, and I can say that I am enjoying every moment of my stay. Well, it's not all happy moments, but I'm glad that I am with my family. My sisters and her family are so accommodating that they make it a point that I have anything I like, especially food. I know I gained weight already because we seriously love to eat. This month, we are preparing for some feast again with our whole family and I just wish that all of my cousins can join us too. I better start taking herbal diet pills already. I will surely be gaining some more pounds this summer. Family outings are being planned and I am more than excited because this is what I really miss when I was in California.

My sister will be going to Hongkong next month and I am thinking if I will ask her to get me this pendant at the Tiffany store. Remembering my aunt

It's been 5 years since my Aunt passed away , and every year, we make it a point to remember her during her death anniversary. It's not as sad as before, each year, we are moving on and we accepted the fact that she is happy with our Creator. She died of colon cancer, and it was only 6 months after she was detected of the disease. Maybe if colon cleansing pills were available that time, she could have lived longer. But this is life and we have to deal with it and accept whatever it gives us. What matters is that we were able to stand and move on after the rain.

To my Aunt, we miss you and we will remember you forever.

Spike

This is Spike, the toy dog of our family that he treats as a real one. I can't help but laugh on this picture of Spike because he really looks like he will join the family with some ice cream too. My sister told me that my nephew asked for a chair so Spike can sit, nice one! I don't think he will soon be owning a real dog because of his asthma, so for the mean time, he can enjoy playing with Spike who is such a low maintenance one hahaha .

I better finish this one up because i still need to read about testosterone creams . My cousin needs it for her term paper and since it is the end of the school year, she got really busy so I am helping her out. Have a great day everyone.

BCBG

Last Summer, I went to San Francisco with my office mates for a weekend of shopping and good food. I guess this is what girls usually do if they have the money and the time, right? So the four of us rented a hotel room and went around SanFo . It was a fun weekend as we shopped to our heart's desire. But you know, we are lucky because most of the items we got are on sale. I got some casual shirts, make up and a BCBG Max Azria bag, top and sandals.You might think it would have cost me a fortune, but no! I was surprised that during checkout, they still gave me an additional 20% off apart from the discounts at the tag. Ooh I love surprises when it comes to shopping.

Now I miss my friends back in CA. I already called them last week at the bank , and I promised to get in touch with them until the time that we will see each other again.

For sale !

Anniversary gift

My mom and my dad will celebrate their wedding anniversary on July, and this early, me and my sisters are thinking of what to give them. If only we have enough budget , then we would love to take them to some Bahamas vacation rentals. But for now, maybe we can settle with some first class hotels in their area. Then a dinner buffet will be great to end their night. The Bahamas vacation has been a long time dream not only for my parents but for my family as well, but I am not sure if our budget can cover all of the expenses so I am going on where our budget would lead us. Wherever it may be, i know that my parents will certainly enjoy their time together.

The samsung LCD TV

Okay, who wouldn't want to own a Samsung LCD TV? I have been eying this ever since we had one in our living room. Well, I want a small one for my room and I want it wall mounted. My sister said the price of the TV dropped down already after the Holidays so she is tempting me to get the smaller one to finally stop my craving. I went to a lot of mall already and I would always inquire for it's price. I think this will be perfect when I watch my favorite classic movies in DVD, or simply watching my favorite TV shows. Now I am torn, I am saving up my last few dollars here, I am thinking if i will buy the TV or if I will just save it for another trip that I am planning for summer. Oh well, I have two weeks to decide. Let's see.

Ever since I arrived here in Manila, I realized that I am slowly gaining weight. Well I noticed too that some of pants wont fit me perfectly now. So these are the signs. I can't blame anyone but myself because i always give in to temptation. Its so easy to have snacks delivered in our doorstep, or sometimes i will have a quick trip to the mall to get some junk food, and dinner is always a feast here. Kung Hei fat Choi

Sorry for the late greeting. I had some series of nights suffering from headaches so I wasn't able to blog lately. Anyway, last Friday, I went to Chinatown with my friend to buy some lucky cahrms and amulets in time for the Chinese New Year. It has already been a tradition for me to welcome the year with those lucky charms as I believe that they reallyy give me good luck. I dont see any harm in trying that:) Well, after a little shopping, we had a yummy dinner in one authentic Chinese restaurant in the area. I felt so full after that we decided to have some coffee to cap the night off.

Face creams

My skin is acting up again! It must be the weather here in Manila because it is so humid. I have plans of going to a dermatologist already because it keeps coming back. I hope they will give me some really good, effective and best face creams . I have a lot of parties to attend to next month, I am also set to go back to Disneyland so I want to be at my best at the pictures. I really dont know what's happening to my skin. I want my old skin back , clear and pimple free. Having the best dermatologist, products and creams will surely be the best thing to do now.

Seeing her again

I was too excited to meet up my friend today at the mall. Ever since I arrived at Manila , I only saw her once and that was before the holidays.We need a lot of catching up to do . She stopped working already because she finally got pregnant after 3 years of waiting. I told her to drink her prenatal vitamin everyday to ensure that her baby will do well. I am thinking of what to give her when we see each other, maybe I will just let her choose what she like later at the mall as long as it will fit my budget. I totally love being with my friends. I miss them so much and I want to spend more time with them now that I am here.

The week that was

It was a productive one.

I had a great trip at Hongkong for 3 days , and went to Disneyland. I did a little shopping for my family and some friends. I got myself this nice Longchamp Le Pliage bag on sale at the airport..its lovely!



As for my niece and nephew, I got them Mickey and Minnie Mouse stuff . It was indeed a great trip. Mid week, I applied for life insurance at Wholesale Insurance . I finally got a quote from them 2 weeks ago, and since I was busy last week, it was only now that I applied. I am glad that I made a nice investment this time. For the coming week, I am a bit relaxed, only a few errands to do before Friday. Have a great week everyone!

Hello Baby!

I feel so great that my high school friend is infanticipating. She got married two years ago, and the start of this year is really lucky for them. We had lunch the other day and that's when she told me the great news. We bought her prenatal vitamins at the drugstore then went to some window shopping. A lot of stores were on sale now, so she managed to get some loose tops in time for her baby bump. Since she is working, she needs a few more clothes and nice maternity pants too. As for me, I got only a tank top , and a nice scarf for my trip. I heard it is cold in my destination so I looked for boots too. I guess, its really not for me , so i went home without a pair of boots. But its okay, I had the best news that day and I enjoyed it with my friend too.

My new companion

This Coach Duff Bag , which is a roomy messenger bag is my companion lately. It's my sister's and since she is usuing something else for her everyday bag, I borrowed this when I was out of the house. I love that the size is perfect. it holds my wallet, coin purse, make up kit, cologne, tissue and some more little stuff , then it even holds my planner. If only this can hold my laptop so I can read about quick trim fast cleanse reviews , then this is my bag forever, hahaha! But still, this one is perfect to carry around when you carry kids, go on commute, carry a lot of shopping bags and the likes. Its the perfect messenger bag for me. I am definitely carrying this to Hongkong!

Grow some more

Thank God its Friday ! This week has been pretty good for me as I accomplished a lot of things already. I booked myself for a Hongkong flight, then I was able to finish some travel papers. I also got my old passport which i think I would still be needing for reference. Now, I am listing down the things that I am getting at HK. Fo myself, I want to get some really nice and fab clothes, then my sister wants a new bag, and mind you, she is very specific with what she likes Hahaha. On my list too is a hair loss treatment product that my cousin needs. For my nephew and nieces, anything from the Disneyland will surely delight them. I am bringing a bigger luggage so I have enough room for my shopping.

Is this eczema?

Last october, when I arrived here in Manila, i was sad to see my nephew with allergies at his face. It was really red and his eyes were swollen. Then on some parts of his body, there was extreme dryness. So my sister went to the emergency room of the hospital to have him checked. He was given a few meds to take to make the swelling subside. They were thinking at first that it might be a case of eczema . The next day, they went to see a pediatric dermatologist. He was given some more meds then later on scheduled for a skin test.

A few weeks after, his skin test results stated that he is allergic to fish of any kind. Yes, he is not eating fish for now and we are hoping that soon he will outgrow this allergy so he can eat fist again.

Relaxing week

Last weekend, i had a fun and relaxing week. I went to the mall and met some of my friends to plan our travel this month. Then i joined my sister and her family in an overnight stay at a hotel. Our room was big than the usual once so my niece and my nephew had a great time playing. I , on the other han watched my favorite tv shows then event went onlie for a few minutes because I need to follow up my friend about this cure for hemorrhoid that she was talking about. A relative of mine asked me for some recommendations , so i asked a friend witht he same hemorrhoid problem. OKay so much for that.. to end the night, I had a very relaxing massage at the hotel's spa. I wish to spend more times like this.

Coach Maggie Op Art

I was looking for the best wrinkle cream online for my mom , when suddenly I received an email from Coach. They just released a new addition in their collection, and isn't it adorable? I love black and white prints, and this one really caught my attention when i saw this at the website. But I am certainly not buying one for now because I am on a budget. Maybe i would just wait for it to go on sale, or even hit the outlet. This will remain in my wish list indefinitely.

Now, I need to focus on this wrinkle cream. Mom is asking me to order one and have it shipped to our place really soon. Any suggestions? I am looking at Clinique and Estee Lauder as I am seeing good reviews of the products.

Kid at heart

So this is me last Christmas day with my nephews and nieces . They all look adorable and I truly enjoy every moment with them. Its been years since I last saw them, some are even babies then, and look at them now, such cuties! How i wish i can take them to an outing like
go on orlando vacations with them. But if thats the case, i better save starting today so we have enough money for a grand vacation.

Speaking of travel, I might go on a quick vacation this month. I am shopping for some winter clothes because its soo cold in that place. Oh i cant wait!

Modern sofas

Last September, our place was badly hit by a storm and some of our furnitures were disposed after because it was badly damaged. The water was almost knee deep and it was so hard to transfer out staff since it was just my sister and the helper with two kids. Now, its time to change a new sofa for us so I am looking for reasonably priced modern sofas for the living room. I only have a working budget and hopefully I wont go beyond that. I know that there's a lot of sale now in stores so i better check it out . Or i can also try online right? Lets see if they will deliver for free.

I was at my busiest during the Holidays. As you all know, it was my first time to celebrate it again with my sisters and good friends. I truly had a blast that I have tons of pictures to upload really soon. I went to a little getaway too with my college friends, it was such a night of fun and laughter. We were just unlucky on our way back to manila because we got a flat tire in the middle of the highway. We thought that help would take some time, but no, roadside assistance was there in less than an hour! Next time, we promise to have our car checked before hitting the road .
