2 months

That' s how long I am staying here in Manila and i can say its been a crazy, fun time for me. A lot happened already with the 2 months and i've been to many places too. Just recently , I fixed some important papers for my citizenship , and i never thought that it would be that easy. I plan to try out some careers here and hopefully I will be lucky by 2010. My plans are not definite yet, but at least I have my plans.

Everyone is busy in my part of the world. Its Christmas day in 4 days !! Time surely flies when you are having fun! Have a Blessed Season everyone! Enjoy it with your loved ones!

badly needed

I am here in Manila for almost 2 months now, and I cant believe how much weight I gained. There's no need for a weighing scale, the fact that some of my pants won't fit me anymore says it all. With the Holiday Season coming, i am sure that a few pounds would still be added to my current weight. So now, I would really like to try those fat burners in the market. If I would start now, it is so timely that by Christmas time I lost weight already . So the food that I will eat then is just good to replace what i lost.

Why is it so hard to resist food nowadays?My sister and I are eating like there's no tomorrow. Add the cold weather at night that makes us carve for coffee and sweets! I should seriously start with my exercise routine every morning. Wish me luck!

At the Mall of Asia

Christmas is truly in the air. This was shot in one of the top malls in Manila and i love the concept of it . This reminded me that I should start shopping for Christmas gifts already. I have a few in my list and i still have a long way to go. Just the kids alone in our family, that can take up my entire day. I might end up shopping online huh, i also need to get my uncle an e cigarette . Do you know where I can get the best and cheap ones? I have been tremendously busy for a month, catching up with a lot of things. Hopefully I can go full blast in shopping by next week. Its December already and yes I cant wait for Christmas.

good food. great company.

I had a simple yet very memorable birthday celebration with my family last Nov. 18. we headed to Mall of Asia for dinner. My mom requested for American food and since we just had TGIF two weeks ago, we chose Burgoo. The food didnt disappoint us, though we noticed that the Teriyaki pasta is a bit salty. After the dinner, we walked around the mall for some picture taking because it is well decorated with Christmas stuff. we ran out of time so I wasnt able to buy some acne treatment products for myself. My skin is acting weird lately huh. I guess ever since I started with my 3 jobs, my skin was all stresses out.

Anyway, we have lots of dinners lately and I will soon be posting them here.

Here's my latest pic from our vacation last week. You think I'll be needing those diet pills ? Eversince I arrived here in Manila, I am eating non stop , I always need to have midnight snacks . When I was trying out my swimsuit last week, lo and behold , it doesn't fit me at all. Maybe my first step is to cut down my food intake and have some exercise. I bought a lot of clothes from last month and I dont think i can fit on those. I better start now before I get heavier each day. Its a good thin we dont have a weighing sale here, I am not interested to know how much i gained. Not at all.

Slingbox for dad

I miss winter time. In my part of the world now, its a bit humid the entire day . But when the weather is weird for that day , it starts to rain in the afternoon. I don't wonder why kids and even adults gets colds at most times.

Anyway, weather cant stop me from shopping. I got dad his Slingbox already. I was supposed to get one during the Thanksgiving sale but i cant wait for it since the stocks are really running low. Speaking about sales , i am sad that I will miss the thanksgiving sale this year. I might just shop online for a few things for myself and my nephew.

Home Sweet Home

Its been almost 3 weeks since I arrived here in Manila, and I am still tremendously busy. My family is always on the go, to the mall at most times. I miss filipino food that i am not amused to find out that I am gaining weight. Our weekend is packed with activities , a baptismal on Saturday and my niece's 1st birthday party on Sunday. Today is a free day for me , so i am reading about Pittsburgh Job Search. I have been delaying this because i dont have time , luckily now is the right tiime as I viewed a lot of job availabilities for me. Well, i really dont want to think more of jobs now, i am still enjoying my vacation here. But for sure , this will be very useful to me next year , when i go back there.

RL for me

Last minute shopping for me. I need new tops for my trip in Taiwan, and I tried looking at other sites, but I still landed at my favorite brand ,RL. I got a few items on sale a few tops and a nice flip flops. Actually, I was a bit hesistant to order online now because I feel like I gained weight again ( you think i would need the best appetite suppressant soon?) . But anyway, just in case these tops won't fit me, I will just give it to my sisters as Christmas gifts, hahaha. Too early, i know!

Anyway, i need to look for swimsuit at this time of the year. We are hitting the beach next month in time for my birthday , and sadly I dont have any nice swimsuits now. I hope I can grab some nice stuff ha, and maybe a cover up too. I need that.

Woohoo!

Its my last day today at work and I cant help but have mixed emotions. I feel sad of leaving my office mates but I also feel happy of finally taking a break from all of these hard work. I miss my family back home and I can't wait to see them on Sunday. Tomorrow, I have a lot of last minute thing to do like buying furnace filters for my dad, last minute packing and getting my hair done. I will be leaving late in the afternoon so i have a lot of time in the morning. I may be leaving this blog for a while as I enjoy my vacation.

Smoking is dangerous to ones health. We always see that being advertised at the TV and yet many continue to be addicted with smoking. The sad part is, some are still young and they are already using it. I know some friends who started at high school, and some during college. I heard that some of them already have health problems this early in life so they stopped smoking cigarettes . But some just cut low on their daily number of sticks. And i know some tried out the e cigarettes. It is the latest in technology when it comes to smoking. This is dubbed at the smokers smart choice. These E cigarettes can still give you the satisfaction of tobacco without its worse effects. It is odorless and smokeless so there is a less risk that others might inhale it too. Just in case you are wondering how it works, the unit is battery operated . So yeah, they have the e cigarette chargers too. I bet my friend who uses this has a charger even at his car . I have yet to research more about it because I only know a few. One of the best things that I like from this product is that it doesn't call for a fire . It is smokeless so there is no fear of a second hand smoke too. It is economical because there is even some e cig refills. I think this should be introduced more to the market by next year.

UGG for me!

I just love this season! I finally get to experience the cold weather again. It was so humid last month in out part and I really feel exhausted after a day's work. My mom just kept all of our simmer clothes and she washed our winter clothes already . I am actually wearing a light jacket now in my room , i grabbed it as soon as I woke up. Clothes is actually not a problem for me during winter. My concern is boots. I wanted to get an UGG boots for the longest time. Armed with an extra money from my job, I am now looking for the best design for me. The classic cardy black of the cardy collection is perfect even for my work. The color can suit any of my clothes actually. But I also saw the classic cardy oatmeal , but i think it is hard for me to maintain with that color. You see , i work at the Arena and I am usually on the go. Im fraid that it might bet dirty in a short time. My other choice is the classic cardy grey . Just like black , the color is perfect . Now I am so torn between black and gray .

There's no other brand for me , only UGG . Just in case you are wondering , it is an Australian brand of high quality boots that is perfect for winter time. You will see a lot of people wearing it because it has proven its performance over the test of time. I am so excited to get my first pair.

October is finally here!!!

Two places: Taiwan and Manila!

And the main event of the month? Its the first birthday of my oh-so fabulous niece. I can't wait that I am counting the days literally. Come November, we are off to the beach for a family vacation. Its at the queen city of the south and It would be my first time in that beach resort. I have heard really good reviews about it. Hopefully it is like the manzanillo mexico vacations that my officemate is telling me. Speaking of work, I will definitely miss them a lot. But i promised them I will be back next year. I just need this break that's why I so want to be home in Manila now.

Tv babe

My sister bought one for our living room last year and I am thinking of getting one for my room. I love watching tv shoes and dvd's of my favorite movies , and I know i will truly enjoy watching it with this big screen. Anyone recommendations on a good brand and would you know if there is a big sale? I also want to check some tv stands at the mall, I am a bit afraid to mount this at the wall , a nice stand would defintely be great for me. I want it slim too and in black. I wish to get this before Chirstmas , its my gift for myself.

Craving

I saw this at my sister's site and I cant wait to eat Crispy pata again! I will be home in a few days and I am so excited to see everyone there in Manila. We have a line up of some restaurants to check out . But aside from that I am also planning to renovate a part of our house that would officialy be my place so i need to check some tile too. So many things to do! And yes we will have a family vacation by november. I am one happy girl !

Causeway clothes

My sister introduced me to this site and I liked most of its items. Its cheap as compared to some of my favorite clothing stores here, so I hoarded a few clothes for my various trips in Manila and Taiwan. I guess I would start taking a fat burner because the models here are so skinny, I envy them . I am on the heavy side lately and I seriously cant stay at my planned diet. Wish me luck , and tell me, these are nice ones , right? I still have a few on my list but i need to check out my budget first. May these clothes inspire me to loose weight soon.

The sexiest

I am not sure if it is just the picture , or it is true that my niece has a better body built now. She used to have all thse extra fats in her body , but i guess eversince she became active, she grew taller and started to look slimmer. Her belly fat was gone i think. Or could this picture be deceiving? I haven't seen her in person yet and my sister would just send me her adorable pictures. I just wish she will not grow really fat so she will fit in those cute clothes in the future and of course for health purposes as well.

Cars !!

I just cant wait to see my nephew. Gosh, he talks nonstop whenever we chat over at YM. He's been telling me a lot of things especially about the shows that he likes to watch like Disney Cars. He asked me to get him 7 of his favorite characters , and I cant do anything but go to the toy store and get it from him. Yeah., he is the only boy in our family, and most of the time , he gets what he wants. As long as he is not asking for Ferrari parts , I can definitely get him anything for his cars. Hahaha . I cant wait for October! 4 more weeks!

Gold and Diamond

My mom told me that if there's one thing that I should buy often if i have the money, then that would definitely be jewelries. I admit i am not really into it because I prefer accessories for my outfits. But my mom told me that jewelries has a high value at the market as long as you have nice pieces so in times when you will need money, you definitely have something to sell in case of emergency. Gold jewelry is of course one of the in demand ones. They never fade in time. Its value would usually depend on its weight, and the jewelries value depends on craftmanship. I really have a few gold pieces , i can count them with my one hand i think. But i can always buy gold arizona you know. I wish i have shopping money now.

Whats more after gold are diamonds. I only have a tiny piece a t a beautiful necllace that my parents gave me during my birthday. I know some who are seling even loose diamonds then the buyer would just use it in the jewelry that they want. I bet there is a big amount of money when you sell diamonds arizona. A cousin of mine in Phoenix mentioned it to me too. She has a small buy and sell business there. She also sell gold arizona so i better check that one too. I really need to invest on these pieces before its too late.

Hello weekend!

I love this weeknd because I dont have to work at the arena. Its a big break for me thats why my schedule is full. I made sure this would be a productive week for me. I scheduled myself to the dentist, I've been looking for Plano cosmetic dentist for quite a while, and I'm glad i landed into one already. Then I am also set to do some little shopping at Forever 21. It's one of my favorite stores because it has a LOT of clothes, from tops, bottoms and dress at such a wonderful price. I bet a lot would be at the store since it recently opened. Loook what i wanna bu for myself

Energy Supplements for Dad

Last week, we were at the grocery for our scheduled trip to get our necessities. I grabbed my usual stuff and added some that I wanted to try. A lot of new stuff were there, and I can't help myslef from getting especially those chips. After that, we also went to the drugstore and got a few medicines for my mom since she's not feeling well. I have been working at the bank for 3 years already , and I can say that it really thought me a lot of things professionally. I graduated with a degree in Accountancy and I was able to apply my knowledge with the bank procedures. Yes, I am seriously considering this course. I have been fascinated with make up eversince I can remember and I bought really good brands evesince I earned my own money. Sometimes I buy more than what I'll use then I will give it to my sisters. But lately I realized that I should seriously try it since I have a passion for it. I say some schools like the beauty school indianapolis that i saw online. This is the Regency beauty school that has gotten popular all over USA. It started with a few campuses, and now it is continuously growing across nine states already. I have to make a phone call inquiry to see if they have one near our place. It makes me feel excited knowing that I get to do what I really like.

my first time

I just received an invitation for one of my dear freinds at the office. It's her wedding next month and it will be held at the beach! I feel so excited after receiving it. It would be my first time to be in a beach wedding. Before I would only read about destination weddings at magazines and online, and I cant believe I will soon attend one. Apart from the venue and the over all theme of the wedding , of course, I am so glad that my friend will tie the knot with her long time boyfriend. I am happy for them because I witnessed their relationship. I bet, the beach would be well decorated with an over all romantic feel. This is really what they have been dreaming for a long time. Now , their dream wedding is about to happen and I am glad to be part of it.

Stuff for the house

One by one, things here are shutting down. For whatever reason, most of our electronics here are not functioning well. The washing machine, then the microwave oven. I just wish that it will be back to normal this weeknd when my dad tries to figure out what went wrong. If it can't be repaired, then we need to buy a new one. I better check out its prices when I buy some safety products at the mall on Sunday. I better list down what I need to check so I wont miss out on anything.

Candles in the night

I love candles. Back when I was still in Manila, I remember my sister had a collection of it and there were times during the night that when we want to relax, we would light a few while we listen to some good music over coffee. I missed those moments , so last weekend, I had the chance to see some wrought iron candle sconces , and i immediately grabbed it . I will try it this weekend after a tiring day from work. Oh , i just miss home and i can't wait to be there in October. I will definitely have some more time there to relax.

She and her family went on a weekend break in a 5 star resort in the Philippines , and just this morning she showed me some pics already and shared stories too. Her kids had the grandest time too. I was busy reading about some cargo liner that time, but i cant help but look at her pics. I want to see that place too this November maybe. For now I am busy finishing our itinerary for the Taiwan trip. That's the reason why i am reading more about cargo stuff.

Dillards recently had a BIG sale in their stores and i got myself a swinpack and a convertible tote from Coach. I was actually looking for an XBox for my nephew , as it is my gift for him on October, but instead of getting it there , i got myself 2 gorgeous bags :) now I think it was still a blessing of not getting the Xbox at the mall , because I got it cheaper online.

On our way to the grocery , he stopped by the hobby store because they have a lot of display of Airsoft Guns. Of course, we are still new with all of these so we asked the sales attendant for more information on the products. Aside from the electric airsoft guns , magazines and rifles, he asked about the gas ones. It is said to be the biggest seller in the market now because of it's performance. Airsoft Green Gas for Airsoft Gas Guns

When you look at the most popular options on the market, airsoft gas guns are some of the biggest sellers. And that makes good sense because the guns have plenty of benefits, including being affordable and fairly powerful. As you might imagine, they also need to have their gas containers replaced after you expend a specific number of shots. Most use a gas known as HFC134a, but you could sometimes opt for airsoft green gas instead.

The best explanation is that the green gas airsoft gun is more powerful than the more traditional type of gas that is used. On a lookout

My mom asked me to look for some electrodes online . I was a bit clueless on what she was looking for , so I checked Allegro Medical. It is a big medical supplies store online that has almost anything you need for a clinic or a hospital. So this electrodes are the ones that sticks at your body when your heart is monitored, yes it is for the purpose of monitoring. I ordered a few pieces that my mom will use for my uncle . They currently have a low supply in the health care so we just ordered online for my uncle's use. Allegro Medical never failed to give me great items whenever I order from them. I will surely be buying for more items soon. I want to have some stock of my basics when I go to my family in a few months. Its way cheap a t their site.

Look at my nephew at the pics. He was actualy jumping around the bed while my niece is playing in her midst. His looks can really be deceiving LOL. My sister told me that he is so smart and playful now. He plays non stop the entire day . He loves to play the drums and guitar , well he plays it in his own way . Aside from his passion for music, he loves trying out skateboards. He saw this one time from a TV advertisement , and he is asking my sister to buy a board plus skateboard ramps , hahaha! I know, he is too early for those things. But you know kids, they always try to immitate what they see. Maybe when he gets older, he can try it out . For the meantime , he can content himself with running and jumping .

The weekend is over once more, and here I am , still up and enjoying my online world. I've been hooked with Facebook lately, I even update my status using my I phone. It keeps me occupied when Im at home, and it keeps me updated too with my friends back in Manila. This is actually getting to be a bad habit, You know, staying in front of the laptop doing nothing while munching in some junk foods. time for an insurance

So its the time of the year again ! Insurance are parts of our lives here now. We have one for the car , health insurance , and now , my mom asked me to look for online term life insurance quotes . Finally! An online degree for me!

Yes, thats right! You might think that i am crazy that despite my super busy schedule with work, i still managed to enroll myself in an online university. Well , this is really a plan i have for myself this year. Would you believe that half of my plans were already accomplished, And this online degree is now part of the second half. I now this would really take hardwork and discipline , but no regrets, i know that this step would take me into places. Knowledge and education is still very essential to me. I envy one of my friends at work because they will go to this resort for a family vacation . I cant remember the last time we went on a vacation as a family, you know, with my mom and dad. It was ages ago because we were not together as a complete family for more than 2 years now! This is the reason why , by October, i am really planning a vacation by the beach for us. All of us deserves this break after all the hardwork. I am one excited girl, i will send email to my sister to look for really nice places and beaches to stay. I know theres a lot our place can offer, and just like white beaches at Riviera Maya, we will wake up with sun, sea and sand! I cant wait!!!

Stocks again

I will soon want to have a breather from all stuff that deals with finances. You may not be aware that working at the bank is not just with money matters, but yeas, we also deal with some stocks. I had a hard time a while ago at work trying to figure out some things about this since I am not really good with stocks, and that is one thing i really admit. We have a few tools used for stock options , so i am thankful with that. We even use an iron condor and that is a big help for me in doing some spread sheets! Whew! ITs really one tiring day for me. Hopefully by tomorrow , things will be easier and lighter! I think i need a little retail therapy after this crazy week!

Aromatic milk bath

Use this mixed concoction immediately after making it, for soft and silky skin.

1 egg
1/2 cup light olive oil
1 tablespoon glycerin
1/2 cup dried milk powder
1 drop jasmine essential oil
1 drop rose essential oil
6 drops lavender essential oil
2 cups distilled water

Beat together egg, olive oil, glycerin and milk powder with a whisk or hand held beater. While beating add essential oils. Continue beating until a smooth paste forms. Add the water a little at a time, continuing to beat. Immediately add to your warm drawn bath (be careful...if the water is too hot you'll make scrambled eggs).

What to give?

DO you know where I can find some unique personalized wedding favors ? We are actually using it for a bridal shower for my good friend at work. Repairs

It all started with a clogged sink. My dad tried fixing it by buying this solution at the mall, at first it was effective, but a few days after, it went clogged again. So we called a repairman to help us with the problem since it's really giving us a hard time washing the dishes. And so he said that we need to get an undermount sink for replacement of the old one. He found out that it was the cause of our clogged sink. My dad was able to get one on sale at the nearby hardware . Now we dont have problems anymore and everything is back to normal at our kitchen. I hate it when something gets broken at our place because it means one thing, you know.

Med Supplies

My uncle , who lives a few blocks away from our place is still under medical care. Well, a nurse would come to their plae for some assistance every other day. Then during our free time, me and my mom would visit them to assist my aunt with some house chores as she takes her rest. Last weekend, i wasn't able to go to the drugstore to buy some over the counter meds and supplies so I ordered everything online since the site delivers fast too. I got a few stuff for our medicine kit , and a catheter for my uncle. Thank heavens for online shopping, everything is just one click away. Now , i need to browse thrpugh all the shopping emails i received over the week. A lot of summer sale that i am seeing and i am one happy girl again.
