My New Hair

Yes!!! I had my haircut last week... Just been so lazy to post some pics... I like it a lot!! : )

here's some from our xmas party, where as how my sis calls it I "Blair it Up".. (i guess its the headband thing?!?)

So the inspiration behind the cut?? Well. I found Candy Pangilinan's multiply site and I loved her hair on some of the pictures.. And then my fangirling kicks in and I found pictures for Fahrenheit's upcoming album and I MUST say, they're new hairstyle ROCKS!! So I figured if I can pull off a cut that was sort of "boyish" but can still work for me, then its awesome... So its a mixture of Jiro / Chun / Candy... and this is the first time that I got highlights!!! love it!

New Haircut

Just as I mentioned on my post yesterday, I did get a haircut!! I wanted the style of Ella from Hana Kimi show.. And guess how it turned out??! Pretty damn SHORT!!!! I like it though, but I think my bangs and the sides were shorter than I expected. When I get a haircut, you won't really see the style right away, take weeks for it to be in the "form" that I wanted.. This might take months! I'm planning to get highlights next week, to give it a little twist..

So I guess I have to wait for a couple of weeks and let it grow out...

Tired.. Confused.. Nervous..

TIRED... i started on second job last night at the Arena and it was pretty tiring... got a chance to glance at the Gary V concert, although i didn't see him.. wow! its pretty tiring.. especially because its the first night.. got off from work at 12 AM!!!! maybe later on it won't be this tiring once i get the hang of it.. the task of counting the money is easy, but going around the arena to get thei money was a pretty long walk....

CONFUSED.... haircut day for me today!!! and still haven't decided on my style that i wanted.. i'm going towards short hair again.. like Ella Chun from Hana Kimi.. (too much asian fever huh?! : ) we'll see.. i just don't want to get to the salon totally clueless.. but since the triple digits temperature started to hit and having two jobs, i don't think i have the time to fix my hair every single morning.. so.. i don't know... will got with the cut? or chicken out at the last minute and still settle for my old hairstyle? well, here's the cut i wanted: (sort of)

Just wish me luck.. I'll probably change my choice once I get to the salon.. Hay, and I'm working again tonight!!! tough times huh?!

Happy weekend!

Loving MY Hair...

I've joined the bandwagon.. I've been blog hopping and seen a bunch of my blog friends having their hair chopped up for the summer. I can just imagine how hot it is right now in the Philippines.. so to anticipate my coming trip (which is just a month away! woohoo!!) I've decided last week to get my much awaited haircut.. (never got the chance to edit the date on my cam.. sorry..)
Good thing they were able to take me for a last minute appointment, I was second guessing since the salon I go to is somewhat pricey.. Good thing my boss let me out at 5:15 since my appointment is for 5:45. I love the place, since the stylist gave me a soothing scalp massage first, then a neck and back massage too. And they won't hurry up during shampoo.. It's really a whole relaxing experience not just an ordinary haircut appointment. So my cut was somewhat like what Rihanna had before, no more Posh for me! I guess it was called A-line razor edged cut?!? Somewhat like that. But the price for me is really worth it! It's easy to style since I really had the back super chopped off! guess how much I paid for??

I need a haircut and I need your help

I just had my WORST HAIR DAY today!! And I just hate it!! While getting ready to hit the mall, I figured it was so windy outside that I have to do something. My hair length is not long enough so I figured to just pin the front and upper part and then the wind just totally knocked up my hair while I was still at the doorstep! I was so f@?k!n' pissed! When I got to the car, I put my hair in a ponytail, but then it was still too short that half of it was just fallin.. Ugh! One thing that can really put me in a bad mood is having a bad hair day!!

I've been thinking of letting it grow for a while and just have my haircut when I go back to Manila (and I always do that!), I've managed to be patient before my every trip, kahit mukhang "warla" na ang hair ko sa work! But then lately I just can't take it. I loved the haircut I got last November, which was a surprise birthday gift from my friend. The stylist was really amazing that she was able to pull off the then popular "Pob" cut (Posh Bob), which is the Victoria Beckham haircut. Altough it was really pricey, imagine $60 for the service!! It does come though with the shampoo/conditioner, then a scal p and hands massage. Plus to be honest, she was really good. It was like a make-over show, since she will put on a bit of powder and lip gloss too!

So now, I really wanted to get a haircut! And I wanted to go back to her! But will I risk spending $ 60 for a haircut?!? I honestly think that my hair was still too short to spend that amount on a cut. And I don't know if I should get the same style, since after the cut, I have built the "posh" reputation of me at work!! Hahaha.. My co-workers just loved to tease me after I got that new haircut, with one side longer than the other (which some of them just totally don't get!).

I need help to find the cut that will suit me this time. I have some ideas though but I can't find the right pictures. Katie Holmes hairstyle in one premiere night event really looked amazing, but then I figured it was high maintenance. My other choice is Bea Alonzo's hair in the movie One More Chance!!! I know ang corny ko no?!? I've seen it in crunchyroll and I know that it was just a wig, but still it was so cute! But I can't find pictures of it. And I already did try my best to get a good shot of it. I watched it again, pause the computer just to take a shot of her hair from every angle, but the glare from the screen makes it a little blurry.. So please...

IF ANYONE CAN FIND OR CAN TAKE A MUCH BETTER QUALITY PICTURE OF BEA'S HAIR IN THE MOVIE.. PLEASE LET ME KNOW...

** on another note, i think One More Chance is a nice filipino movie. i seldom watch pinoy flicks but i've got to be honest, i already saw it three times in the internet! haha.. not bad..**

Hair Talk.. Part II .. 2.1

I remember how Clairol used to have this classic look on their products and even the commercials (although I think these old products are still on the market). They have those clear plastic bottles with floral prints on it.. Then at long last, they re-invent themselves and this time around gone are the classy look, and here comes something hip and trendy which definitely caught shopper's attention..

I used Clairol's Break's Over Strengthening Shampoo And Conditioner. I love how they also have those catchy product names for specific hair problems and quick fixes.. Even the website looks fun and hip. Wow talk about a make-over!

My Experience: I love the product since with much styling my hair is so dry and damaged. Hair breakage is one of my major dilemma. I will just review them together since there's really not much of a difference. I love how it smells! The thing I didn't want being sometimes in a hurry, is that the packaging is absolutely the same for both the shampoo and conditioner. So there were times that I would grab the wrong one. I could really tell that it was working. I even tried the other collections that they have like the Dangerously Straight.

Price and Availability: If I remember it right i think the price is only $ 3.99 to around $ 4.99 and is available at Target, Walgreens and other drugstores.

My Verdict: For both the shampoo and conditioner together, I would say 7.5 out of 10. I just don't like how all the products of the entire collection have the same packaging.. It didn't work for me..

Hair Talk Part II.. 1.2

I have always used matching shampoo and conditioner, since it claims its best to use with it or as some products will say "for best results" follow with....

That's why for my conditioner, I use the More Moisture Raspberry and Brazil Nut Conditioner.
Well it basically says the same thing like the shampoo the only difference is this is for conditioning. How it works: "Naturally moisturize, condition and repair even the driest, most damaged hair leaving it soft, silky and beautiful. Raspberry, marula and brazil nut oils quickly penetrate hair for deep, lasting conditioning that will fortify hair without product build-up."

My Observations: It worked much better than the shampoo, well yeah of course! The conditioner should really makes the hair fell softer and it really does. It's no difference than the other conditioners I have drowned my hair with although it does have an edge for that amazing scent.

Price & Availability: same as the cost of the shampoo and you can also find it on the same stores mentioned (of course!)

The Verdict: I have to say this one is a 3 out of 5.

In totality the Burt's Bees Shampoo and Conditioner for me is 5.5 out of 10. I am not that happy in trying the product. Although I do have other Burt's Bees products that I use for my face. I guess I just have to say that my hair with all the chemicals in it, didn't go well with my switch to an All-Natural Product. After rinsing, I fell like I have such a huge build-up on my hair instead of feeling really clean, soft and silky.

Hair Talk Part II.. 1.1

At present I am using Burt's Bees Hair Products. For what reason? I really don't know.. The thing is they're known to have all naturals on their products so I thought I might as well just go back to basics, no fuzz and buzz and no chemicals.. Plus the scent when I opened up the shampoo bottle was really good.

I am using the Burt's Bees More Moisture Raspberry & Brazil Nut Shampoo. And according to the label its 98.12 % natural. Here's what the back of the bottle says, and I quote :

"This wonderfully natural formula starts with Coconut and Sunflower oils to create a cleansing complex that is one of the effective, gentle, and richly foaming available. Raspberry extract, rich in fatty acids such as Omega-3 combine with Hone, a natural humectant, to intensely moisturize. Brazil Nut oil and Wheat Protein nourish and hydrate, leaving even the most dry, damaged hair naturally soft, silky and beautiful.."

My Experience: I guess the last phrase was what convinced me to try it! But honestly I find it weird using the shampoo. As I massage it to my hair and scalp, it doesn't give you that soft, silky feeling. I guess it was trying to let me feel my real hair. It felt so stiff, I could feel the dryness and its hard to massage because its not foamy enough. It doesn't create that much foam when I massaged it to my hair and even after I rinse it, my hair is all tangled up just like how it feels after rinsing hair from a hair dye. But I really does smell raspberry while using it, smells so good! and it really stays the whole day.

Price & Availability: the 12 fl. oz (354ml) is $ 8.00, you can buy it at Target, Walgreens and other drugstores.

The Verdict: I give it a 2.5 out of 5 since the "lathering effect" is lacking.

Hair Talk Part I

After the finishing my post last night, I realized that on one of the questions, about what is my brand of shampoos I honestly have quite a few. Oh our bathroom closet's cluttered of just mostly my products for my face, for the body and a lot for the hair. Right now I have three different kinds of shampoos and conditioners all of them I'm using.. How can that be?! I am not blessed with soft, silky, straight hair (that I always wanted), so I have to put in extra effort to make it look good. And practically I have to do it every single day, Monday-Friday since I don't want my dry frizzy hair to show up with me at work! Hehe. For me a bad hair day can perfectly ruin a perfectly nice event and I am really trying not to be caught off guard!

I am still in search for the best hair products just for everyday use. Something cheap and available in just about any stores. So for those also in search, I'll let you take a peek on the products I've used and still using. And I also hope you can help me out with this quest!
