good food. great company.

I had a simple yet very memorable birthday celebration with my family last Nov. 18. we headed to Mall of Asia for dinner. My mom requested for American food and since we just had TGIF two weeks ago, we chose Burgoo. The food didnt disappoint us, though we noticed that the Teriyaki pasta is a bit salty. After the dinner, we walked around the mall for some picture taking because it is well decorated with Christmas stuff. we ran out of time so I wasnt able to buy some acne treatment products for myself. My skin is acting weird lately huh. I guess ever since I started with my 3 jobs, my skin was all stresses out.

Anyway, we have lots of dinners lately and I will soon be posting them here.

Jump around

Look at my nephew at the pics. He was actualy jumping around the bed while my niece is playing in her midst. His looks can really be deceiving LOL. My sister told me that he is so smart and playful now. He plays non stop the entire day . He loves to play the drums and guitar , well he plays it in his own way . Aside from his passion for music, he loves trying out skateboards. He saw this one time from a TV advertisement , and he is asking my sister to buy a board plus skateboard ramps , hahaha! I know, he is too early for those things. But you know kids, they always try to immitate what they see. Maybe when he gets older, he can try it out . For the meantime , he can content himself with running and jumping .

Come On Sis!

As I have left a message on my sis' blog... Yes anytime soon she's gonna have the baby!!!! Actually it was weird since I was chatting with her online yesterday and then next thing I knew it was Gelo who left a message: Ca, manganganak na yata ate mo, dalhin na namin sa UST!!! I was like.. What the??? I was just chatting with her!!!hahaha...

I'm so sorry since I don't know a single thing about giving birth or babies and not really familiar with the terms but it turns out, its not time yet... But she was already admitted to the hospital, and I bet its the whole family together in there with Joaquin of course!!! haha

Here's a latest text from my sis (today, around 8am manila time) i asked for any latest news and this is her reply:

Ito buntis pa din.. Haha..Pero dumadalas na sakit. Pa grand entrance ang batang to!!

oh and the funny thing is, she surely miss her laptop since she's gonna ask gelo to bring it over to the hospital.. anu ba yan, kala ko in pain kapag in labor?!? hahaha

well, i do hope for a really safe and easy delivery for her!!! go.. go.. go.. and i'll keep u guys up to date!

3 to 4 cm na ko. Lipat na ko delivery in a while..

One Proud Cousin

galing-galing naman ng pinsan ko!!! they won first prize at a school dance concert... just see it for yourself.. he's the one in front, standing during the opening music... and all the screaming girls?!? wow i just can't believe it... so proud of you Mik!!! ; ) luv yah!

Last Minute Grabs

I know I said that I won't be shopping a lot for my sis' coming baby.. Since her and my mom obviously didn't even take a break buying stuff!!! I bet the coming princess already have so much stuff, na kahit every hour eh pde sya magpalit ng damit! : ) But then I just can't resist a SALE! So I had a few grabs.. They're on clearance so its pretty cheap..


I got bigger sizes like 6-9 months so it won't fit her for quite sometime... And I know that my mom's going to ship a box already, so FOR NOW the shopping will end...

For the New Princess

The Princess of Quite-A-Lot

Again something I got from my boss. It's a photo frame actually and the cue thing about it is it plays an instrumental version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow.. So "princess-sy" talaga! (which according to them totally fits me! hahaha) Then I told her on how my princess of the family days will soon be over because my sister's having a baby girl in a few months.. So I didn't put a picture yet on the frame (they placed Wu Chun's pic in there when I forgot it at work!) As my days are already numbered.. Or maybe I'll be the queen and then she's the new princess!!! : )

The last couple of weeks I was outdone by my sis and my mom when it comes to shopping for the new baby.. Actually I have been really good saving my money since I plan on something. And of course lately I've been working weekends on my second job. Then I got the chance to do so about two weeks ago.. Here's my loot for the princess:

When I got home after shopping I immediately went online and showed it to her.. I told her that these are my "share" already.. I've been really good though as to not spending a lot.. We should totally name the baby Lauren... : )

My Kind of Guy

People might say I'm spoiled.. I'm 25 and I still don't drive.. My dad drives me to work in the morning, pick me up as well.. And on Mondays and Tuesdays, he picks me up during his lunch break since he has a night schedule.. And now with my second job, he's still my personal driver.. And I haven't heard any complaints from him.. So, wanted to say thanks!! Especially for letting me use your credit card! : )

I keep coming back to Manila!!! woohoo.. This is it!! At long last the day that I've been waiting for has finally come... MANILA HERE I COME!!! I can't wait, had a chat with my sisters this morning for some last minute stuff...

Still trying to finalize my baggages though.. Hay, I don't care!

FIVE MORE DAYS!!!!

I AM SO EXCITED!!! I just can't wait... Five more days and I'll be in Manila!! woohoo!! I've been waiting for this moment since last year! hahaha.. Right after my April 2007 trip I know I'm going May this year. I'm pretty much all set, just had some last minute shopping to do yesterday. Too bad it can't go as exactly how I planned. I guess I have to many stuff (well, my mom's pasalubong!) that I have to bring one balikbayan box. I was planning to just have two suitcases with me. I just want a hassle-free trip since I'm travelling by myself..

Hindi na nga ko mka-kain e.. The anticipation is killing me! And to think that I have to still work till Wednesday.. Hay, that will be the longest three days of my life.. I just hope my sis will feel much better.. Well, kasi kung hindi simple lang naman eh.. IWAN sya!! : ) My plans are basically not relaxing since I'm trying to squeeze in everything for 2 weeks.. I hope our family swimming will turn out fun.. I know it will since its my gift for my sister's birthday...

MANILA HERE I COME!!!!

I'm happy, excited, nervous.. just mixed emotions.. And even though we have to change plans because of my sis' "V-moments" I still hope we can have a good time... Hope we can travel someplace and still visit the beach or even just a pool.. Anywhere relaxing and fun..

I just can't wait.. the anticipation is basically killing me!!!

So.... let the countdown begin.....

I cannot wait to see the pictures.. But even more I cannot wait to see you next month! Although I won't babysit you since I've seen how quick you are and very magulo and makulit sometimes.. Hahaha! Just good health for you... That's all that I ask for.. But hey, I think you MOM has other birthday wishes for you : More Ralph Lauren, toys and goodies from us here, huh?!?!? :)

Now I realized.. The day you were born was the day I started to be BROKE! Hahaha!!!

Save the Date

No..No I am not getting married! I am asking my friends and family to save this date since.. I AM COMING BACK HOME.. Again!! Woohoo!! I just cannot wait, although its just the usual 10 days vacation that I have from work. As how my sisters call it, napadaan lang uli ako. I was there last April for Joaquin's first birthday, the year before that I was there March for my grandma's burial. See the trend?? March, then April and now comes May.. At my work, it is so hard to really file for vacation, since we are a big department so filing for vacation is based on seniority, and guess what, I am eleventh on the list! My style always works though, super early on, I try to make parinig na with my co-workers that I will be going home that way they will ask me what month I wanted to go. They didn't have any problems with it since I always have pasalubong for them..

I really tried to get extra days off even without pay, which is also another pahirapan. I have asked for two favors (well I guess it was actually three!) : if I can leave on a Thursday, May 1 since I wanted to be in Manila by Saturday May 3 with time differences you basically feel like you lose a day; then I asked to have a couple of days w/o pay which in my mind is 5 days, but since auditors will be there on May 19, I can't take 5 days, although she did agree for 2 days. I guess that's ok rather than nothing! And apparently the "3rd" favor is I am leaving on the first of the month, which is basically a busy time for us. I have reports that I need to do every first of the month, so basically with me gone I have to train and probably "inconvenient" another person.

When I was waiting for the final approval of my vacation last Wednesday, I guess that's the longest 10 seconds of my life! Although some of them were already saying that I'm going to have it, still I am not sure till its final. One of my co-worker asked me what I'm gonna do if my boss would have said no.. And here's my answer: I'll probably just quit, I need to get my sanity back and see my family. I can afford to lose this one! Haha.. Taray di ba?!
