Comfort and Style

Is it really possible to combine comfort and style? For many, fashion could mean sacrificing comfort in order to look good. High-heeled shoes surely exudes a sexiness but it does come with a price: wearing the wrong pair could lead to pain and discomfort. 

The truth is you can wear a comfortable outfit in a stylish way. The basic premise is to choose clothes that represent your style. While we take inspiration for models and celebrities, keep in mind that each one has a different body figure and what might fit well others might not be a good choice for you. 

My personal philosophy when it comes to fashion is that it should be an expression of my personality. Flats and comfy sneakers are my staple when it comes to footwear. The Hello Kitty and Vans collaboration was like music to my ears. If only I have enough on my budget, I probably would have more than one pair. Vans footwear are really comfortable and unique; add to that the Hello Kitty design is just my favorite. I think Hello Kitty can just easily put a smile on someone's face. 

Although I have a few outfit ideas on my mind, my first choice is to pair my Vans with tight fit jeans and a white shirt. I think that the perfect laid back outfit that is right for the summer.  What's your comfort pair of shoes?

Leather questions

My little hurricane strikes again ! You simply can't let her hold a marking pen because she is sure to hit most of the areas in the house. I know she has the talent in doodling and drawing, but I want her to keep in mind that she can only do it in her papers. Anyway, she got a few lines in our leather couch and I need to have some quick fix with it. Anyone here who knows how to dye leather ? Ours is in cream color so you can really notice the blue marker used. I am not hopeless, I know that there are really good ways to treat a leather, i just need to do some research.

A different kind of shopping

My parents arrived here a month ago , and I can say that it is not really easy to adjust to having them here at home. Of course, the feeling is overwhelming because we missed them for years. But I guess I am not just used to it yet that we are all in one house again. We are still enjoying this phase, we have family time on weekends, bonding moments with the kids and the likes. But sometimes they would get bored and look for something they can do. My dad enjoys doing some repairs here so last time I went with him at the home depot and the hardware for some shopping. He got some appliance replacement parts and a few tools. Now everything seems new again here. I am just thankful that we get to enjoy great moments together now.

Father's day gift

This year, we will have a very special father's day celebration because my dad is here to celebrate with us. We still don't have some definite plans for that day, maybe we will have a good dinner in our favorite restaurant. As for now, I'm looking for a really nice gift for my dad. The ashton cigars is on top of my list, aside from the usual shoes, leather belt or polo shirt. I want to keep it unique this year so my vote really goes to the cigars. My dad is not really a smoker, he usually collects classic cigars for his collection.
