Last week was such a tough week for our family, health wise. I got sick from Sunday and I wasn't really feeling well but I had to do my mommy duties. Come Wednesday late night, my daughter got sick and she had a hard time breathing so we rushed her to the hospital. She was admitted until Saturday afternoon, and her discharge was just in time for her Birthday celebration last Sunday. Now I am getting back to the groove of things despite the toxic week. My kids are so busy lately taking care of their dog. My husband got a really adorable puppy from his office mate and since then , everyone looks forward to going home and seeing the puppy. The kids enjoy watching the dog eat and take a bath. Last Saturday, we all went to the veterinary clinic for some vaccination. We also bought some toys to play with the puppy. It has truly become one great bonding moment for all of us. My only problem now is the dog's urine, I can somehow smell it inside the house. A friend suggested that I buy a dog urine odor removal available at most pet shops. It is important to maintain cleanliness and good hygiene in the house even if we have pets. Who would want to get lost in the middle of nowhere ?

Due to some changes in the Expressway (which we do not know of), we got lost last week on our way to a family swimming. We were a few feet away from where we should have exited when we noticed it.. and my husband had to drive a long way again to get into our location. Oh well, lesson learned. Next time ,always check your exit lane! We arrived late and I feel a little sad then. This is one reason why I want to get a car gps now. It would really save me from getting lost when driving and at the same time saves my gas too. Most of my friends have one already but I declined from buying one before because I don't see yet the need for it. Okay, now I know. Lesson learned the hard way.

How was your Holy Week everyone?

Ours was spent with my family and I feel so great being with them during the Holy week activities at the church. It was one tiring , yet very inspiring weekend for me. My son had a grand time at the Procession last Good Friday.

Today is Monday... and yes, I am so back to work! I am so thankful during the Holy Week that work started pouring in again. It was a bit low during the first trimester. I have a few errands to do today and I will tag along my mom because she needs to buy some jeans for our event this weekend. I also need to look for some Medicare part D plans online. My sister said that I can get more information of this online. These Medicare plans are long overdue already and I want to finish it while my mom is still here in our place.

How was your weekend everyone? Ours was great because we were able to go South and visit our small lot there. It is still bare but we are planning to construct a little house in the future. We went there to put some no trespassing signs for security. We were able to clean the area a little and at the same time take some pictures of the kids enjoying the space. We didn't stay quite longer because it started to drizzle already. We headed to the nearby restaurant for a quick bite before heading home. Of course, Sunday won't be complete without going to Mass with the whole family.

My mom and dad will be home for the Holidays. It's been a while since we last celebrated Christmas together and I feel happy that finally they decided to spend it here. My mom will be staying here for good after the Holidays. She decided to stay here with us and take care of her grandchildren. We are having a short weekend break here at Sofitel before my husband finally comes back to work on Wednesday. I have mixed feelings now , i am happy that he will finally not be bored again and work just like before. But I also feel sad because it is the first time in our married life that we get to spend 45 days together at home. I have been writing here about my constant battle with excess weight. For whatever reason, I am constantly gaining weight even if I am doing some exercises every now and then. I went to the mall today with my husband because we are looking for a new pair of formal shoes for him. He will attend a wedding soon and he will be a part of the wedding entourage. Aside from the new shoes, we are also looking for a suit . His old one won't fit anymore in the tummy area and the pants are too tight too. Yes, he gained weight during his 45 days leave from work. I can't believe that I am still trying to lose weight now even if Holidays are two months over. I went to the mall to try out some semi formal dresses because we will have a church dinner this week. Sadly, the styles I want doesn't compliment me at all. Now I am thinking of trying Diet pills that work fast , you think it will give me the results in less than one week? Oh well, maybe I should just stick with styles that won't show off my heavy side. The color black will be a perfect choice too. I hope to lose weight really soon because I do not want to be unhealthy also. Its time to follow my diet plan once more so I will soon enjoy wearing my favorite clothes.

So today I was able to supply for my small business, do the laundry and go to the mall with my mother in law. Yes, it's all in one day that's why no wonder I am like a dead meat already. I want to sleep now and prepare for tomorrow's long day but I still need to look for cellulaires . I've been delaying this task, and now mu husband is asking me about it so I have no choice but to finish it tonight. Hopefully I can finish in one hour so I can call this a day and have a good night rest.

It was quite a short notice to me when my Aunt called me , inviting us for a surprise birthday party of My uncle. It's already this Sunday and I can't think of what to give him. These are just some of the food that we had during our Christmas eve dinner at the Hotel. Oh it was a night of great food and great company . I should have taken the best appetite suppressants in town prior to the Holidays! I think I gained 5 lbs in a short period of time. Now, I try to go on a diet to trim down those excess weight I got during Christmas and New Year. Why is it so hard to resist food even if you are on a diet and you know that it will add up weight to your body? I guess I better practice self control when it comes to eating food , at the same time I should stay away from Dinner buffet because it is just so tempting!

I was so delighted to receive my husband's Christmas gift for me. No, its not a bag, not a shoes and not even a watch. Its a home theatre system for our entertainment room.I've been telling him how I wanted to have a home theatre system with great surround sound system.We just have a simple television set and dvd player before so we had it replaced with the new system. Our old television set and dvd player was transferred to my kids room. We already tried it last week when we watched Harry Potter 1 with our kids. I feel like I was watching inside the theatre! Thank you daddy!

I knew it! Malls will be having an after Christmas sale right after the Holidays. This is what I am waiting for before the year ends. I didn't let this pass , I got some stuff for myself since I barely shopped during the Holidays. I thought of getting some briggs stratton parts that we need for repair, but I saw online that it is even cheaper so it is better to order there. I shop whenever and wherever there is a sale or where I can save more. That is why it is always better to compare prices first especially if you are making a big purchase. Be a smart shopper!

I just received two birth announcements during the Holidays. Two of my dear friends are first time moms and I just feel so happy for them. Both are having their first babies and that alone adds a certain excitement for all of us. I will surely be a godmother of these kids. I love it when I receive birth announcements from family members and friends. As for me, no plans yet for our third baby. Maybe next year, we may plan to have our third, but certainly not this year. Since I have a girl and a boy already, I am not pressured at all for my next pregnancy.

In a few days, we will be celebrating Christmas. Its my most awaited time of the year, so as my kids. I am done with shopping for gifts, the last one was an online order for a spyderco military . I will receive it tomorrow and I will just have it wrapped then I am good to go. We are distributing the gifts a little early this year because we will go somewhere from the 24h to 26th. Its an off from our usual busy life and we are celebrating it as a family. So what are your plans for the Holidays?

Weddings in December

Aside from June, December is also considered as a peak month when it comes to weddings.Two weddings are lined up for me this month and I will certainly go to both occasions. First is for a really good friend and godmother of my daughter and the other is for my cousin in law. I'm excited to see bridal gowns again, it reminds me of my own wedding. Now I am thinking of what to wear since I don't have much formal wear now. I might check out my favorite store and see if they have something that would fit me perfectly. Christmas is just around the corner and we already started feasting with great food!

We had a seafood grilling buffet yesterday with the friends of my sister. Today we had modern local cuisine for lunch in one of our favorite restaurants. I am thankful that there's an effective way to lose weight in no time, yes, I am talking about weight loss drinks that my friend gave me. I tried it out the other day and the taste isn't that bad at all. I can't believe that my friend is now conscious with his body. He started going to the gym last year and he regularly visits for his chosen program. He is into body building and building those curvy muscles. I honestly did not recognize him when I saw him last week. I was looking for some anti acne products because of the md clear reviews I have read last week, but I wasn't luck enough to find one on sale. Instead, we headed to the toys area and my husband got this Step-2 Easel board for the kids. If only its not that bulky, we would have gotten two as a for a friend. I have seen a lot of electronics sale, but we don't need a new TV or dvd player so we didn't went to that area. It was crowded as expected but I've heard that the deals are really great! I'm happy though with what I got for the kids. In the next year, maybe we can try lining up outside the stores prior to opening hours so we can experience the fun of Black Friday sale.

I know that my greeting is late, but I guess it's okay as long as I remember greeting you all. We had a great Thanksgiving weekend with my family. We even invited some of our relatives so we can have a mini - reunion too. The next day was Black Friday, you know what it means!! Shopping! I didn't lined up that early just like most of our neighbors, we went to the mall at 6am and grabbed a few toys for the kids. Some items at the beauty section was on sale too, so I got my mom a wrinkle remover , lipstick and some eyeshadow and blush on for me. I love the weekend because it means I have all the time to go to the mall and go over the new products int he beauty section. In a simple day, I will go to the mall only if I really need something. Laptop warranty

I should have gotten an extended laptop warranty . My current laptop got busted and I need to have it repaired as soon as possible because most of my work files are there. I have this feeling that I can still recover everything , I just feel the hassle of using others laptop since my files aren't there. Oh well, i learned my lesson the hard way. It's not covered by the warranty already and that makes me feel sad even more. My husband suggested that I get a new unit and just trade in the one I had before. I might just follow his suggestion.

It's almost November and our place is still being affected by typhoons. Aside from the fact that when there's a typhoon it easily floods, I'm afraid that health issues also come up during this season. There are many diseases in flood and during this really cold weather so we better gear up and be prepared. The rain jackets of the kids and sweaters are in their bags whenever we go out. I even got ourselves some rain boots to protect our feet from the flood as it may cause leptospirosis. How about you, how do you keep your family safe and dry this rainy season?

Remember always be safe and as much as possible, just stay at home when it's raining. If you can't help but go out, then gear up and wear jacket and rain boots.

Great Food, Great Company.. what else can I ask for?

This buffet dinner at Yakimix is a treat for ourselves and for our families too. It was a super busy September- October for all of us and we thought of giving ourselves a break from all the work. We all love our food, there's a lot to choose form especially seafoods ! I am not really a big fan of Japanese so I just feasted with all the smokeless grilling. My little boy also cooked hotdogs over there. We were so stuffed after because we didn't let the sweets / desserts section to wait for us. I feasted with the chocolate ice cream with mallows and some cakes. its a good thing I read something about how to burn belly fat, I am not afraid to have a bulging tummy at all.

Work has come my way lately that I wasn't able to blog that much. Its quite hard having a limited time at the computer since I share it with my sister now. I better look at some laptops on sale now. My old one is busted already and I don't think it can still be fixed. My husband suggested that I get a mini laptop instead since I am always on the go. I spend mornings with my son at school so the mini laptop is perfect. I dont have to carry a heavy one at all. I must complete everything with laptop accessories like a compact charger , carry case etc. Do you think a separate laptop battery is something I need by now? I was so disappointed with our current kitchen faucet because it got broken after just 3 years of using it. Well, I think this is what you get when you buy standard ones, the quality is something you can't really count on. So this time, I learned my lesson and I would like to invest with quality faucets for our home. Im starting out with our kitchen since it badly needs replacement by now. The brands that I am considering are Kohler, Moen and Hansgrohe. Though I have to be a little practical and see what would fit our budget. I want to have some classic pieces that would certainly match our kitchen and its color. So what can you say abouth my choices?

Broken!

Im just so glad that I availed of a laptop warranty when I bought my laptop a few years ago. I would be incurring big expenses now if itdoesn't have warranty. You see, I was still using it the other day when all of a sudden, it just stopped working and the power turned off ! I was really in panic because all of my files for work are save there. Good thing I remembered that I have a backup file at mh EHD. Thank heavens for back ups! This morning I went to the store and had it checked. They told me it might take a few days or weeks for repair , they will give me an update by monday. Everything is still covered by the warranty so no worries with the expenses. My ultimate worry would just be some of my files not saved. oh well, lesson learned.

Getting fat

This is really one of my biggest problems now. With all the food experience that we have now, the least that I want to be is get fat. I easily gain weight because of my metabolism, so I try to do some exercise when that happens. My tummy easily gets those unwanted fats so I need to find ways in burning belly fat .Some say that belly dancing can be one great exercise and it is now offered in some fitness centers as an alternative way of getting rid of those bellies. But I am no dancer so I have to pass on that one. Sit ups maybe helpful to me and I am considering that since it will help out my abs too. Well, wish me all the luck!

Back acne treatment

Do you know where I can get the best treatment for back acne ? I have a friend who has back acne lately, and her problem is how to get rid of it since she will be a bridesmaid soon and will be wearing a low back gown. Concealer will surely not hide evrything, and she doesn't want her back to be an awful sight for the guests. Treatment is really the key here so I am helping her out to get the best one. I was chatting with some of my college friends last night and we are planning a simple dinner to catch up with each others lives. Its been a while since we last saw each other and I can't wait to bond with them again. We are even planning a videoke session after dinner since we all love singing. Any suggestions on the venue? costume hunt

Yes, as early as now , I am already looking for kids halloween costumes. My nephew and niece here are so adorable, that I already look forward todressing them up with their favorite characters. Most of the costumes now are still on sale since it is off season, prices are unbelievable. My nephew wants to be a Tiger, his favorite animal, while for my niece, I am thinking of getting her a Kai-Lan costume from the hit series at Nick Jr. The possibilities are endless, especially when you have a little girl who loves dressing up. I will surely be buying them really soon so my mom can have it shipped here at an earlier date.
